From the time of the that I write this post, it will just be a few hours before I get on a plane.  I feel like when I go on a trip or the holidays come around that it is only when you return that life issues you had will then magically be resolved when you get back.  Those issues, problems, situations I leave behind in San Francisco, will be here when I return.

I am trying to determine the best way to ramp up the enterprise software industry – buy, trial, download – whatever it takes.  I am learning to live my new life, lose 20lbs, go back to school, learn about wine.  We make this effort, day in and day out. How do we measure the return, by money?  By friends?  By joy?  Joy and pleasure are two distinct measures – I want that which will sustain, the short burst of pleasure has not effect on the spirit.  Find that which brings you joy, and if you find yourself in a place where there is none, change it, really, how hard can that be?
