I have been trying to determine the best conduct a daily online campaign for free database tools here at Embarcadero. But I have to give away a small secret that I am up to my old tricks. Almost 2 years ago I said to a co-worker back in NYC “videos, videos, videos, videos, videos…” – get a FlipCam and let’s roll.
I recently ordered the latest FlipCam – I believe this one even allows you to record in HD. My hope is to go around the Embarcadero Technologies office and talk to everyone from the database developers, to the CEO, the accounting staff – anything and everything that goes into making tools for database development.
On the personal side, I’ve been in touch with NYC folks lately – including family folk, wondering “are you really happy you left your comfort world of NYC…..” – yes, very much. Though I have to admit, I think I am going to miss snow, I hear there is some white powder along the grounds of Central Park. I admit that one of my guilty pleasures of NYC was after a fresh storm, a fresh few inches on the Great Lawn. The calm, the peace – the pureness of it all – just hearing a soft wind flow on through was …pure joy.
That and the Steelers won….HERE WE GO STEELERS….HERE WE GO! Give me some Raven pie….!
