This position is responsible for assisting in the management and maintenance of Embarcadero’s corporate online stores. This includes publishing content, product and catalog management, design and layout, merchandising and globalization. This position will work closely with marketing, sales and operations and will play an essential role in driving high volume of traffic and sales into the sites. The Ecommerce Operations Specialist is an individual contributor and reports into the Director of WW Ecommerce.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Assist in managing and maintaining product catalogs and setups (pricing, product structure, SKUs, descriptions, serial keys, download files, images) on the shopsite
§ Work closely with product teams, marketing, sales and operations through the entire lifecycle of online products (add new products, change/modify, retire)
§ Work with Sales and Marketing in setting up promotions, banner ads, bundles, coupons, email campaigns and special offers that drive traffic and sales
§ Provide reports and analysis on relevant sales, conversion and site traffic activity and report out on a periodic basis.
§ Assist with customer issues and coordinate issues to resolution (e.g. order fulfillment, refunds, incomplete orders)
§ Work with Ecommerce partner on special projects to design, deploy and enhance new online stores, setup new functions/features, improve navigation, improve search/engine optimization, enhance customer experience and streamline operations
Experience Required
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a technology driven product and/or services environment.
- Must have a strong web background. Experience working with an Ecommerce platform a plus
- Knowledge of web standards, best practices, web technologies from a visitor and technical perspective.
- HTML skills with some working knowledge of CSS and CSS layouts. Javascript coding and experience with any javascript frameworks (Jquery, prototype, etc.) is a huge plus
- While not required, any experience with server side language would be a good indicator of web knowledge
- Some working knowledge of basic image editing and optimization. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent a plus
- Ability to manage, prioritize, multi-task and have thrived in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to project manage and work with external vendors
- A team player, effectively interacting with employees at multiple levels within the company
- Detail-oriented with a strong analytic background and ability to constantly measure and monitor operations and refine approaches accordingly. Experience launching a product a plus.
- Strong process management skills, able to work in cross-functional capacity across sales, marketing, operations, finance and external partners. Knowledge of order management/order fulfillment processes a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding environment, requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, deliver on deadlines, and manage a workload with possible conflicting priorities
- Experience with selling and merchandising software, or working in a software company a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google analytics, Web trends) a plus

- Bachelor degree is preferred
